Introduction

Hello World,

This is my first blog ever and it is focused on explaining the concepts behind my first game, Maze of Ghosts. Today, I will explain the story behind it and what my plans are with the product. Maze of Ghosts will be a pick up and play game where players attempt to escape a haunted prison.

A supernatural being known as an Overseer constructed a maze out of fragments brought together from across the globe. These fragments included parts of locations, treasures, and even ghosts. While pulling all these fragments together, a group of living individuals are snatched up and brought along as the maze is undergoing construction.

The overseer is alerted to the existence of living beings in the maze, but does nothing directly. To an overseer, any changes to the original plan is a reason to investigate and test. Taking a back seat, the overseer monitors the interactions between the dead and the living. To avoid a massacre of every single human pulled into the maze at the hands of ghosts, the overseer hid relics that could create a gateway back to the world of the living.

As survivors in a foreign land, the humans seek out these relics unknowingly as their only chance of escaping the prison alive. What the purpose of the overseer is will remain as mysterious as what the overseer is. It is unknown if the overseer is a devil or angel. Its goal is neither for good nor for evil. It is simply present until 1 lucky survivor is able to find evidence in the maze.

The game is currently undergoing construction and will be available on Kickstarter on December 20th. I will use this blog to give details on the game as the deadline approaches and throughout the Kickstarter campaign.
